About The Event
This experimental black and white masterpiece from Shin’ya Tsukamoto combines cyberpunk and industrial mayhem with fetishism, ghost tale, and gore.
Included on the Steven Schneider-edited 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die, Tetsuo was intentionally filmed in black and white to avoid presenting audiences with such disturbing images that they didn’t finish the film. Tetsuo won Best Film and Best Feature at Fantafestival 1989 and Sweden Fantastic Film Festival 1989, respectively.
This film is not rated but will be screened to an adults-only audience. Doors open at 6:00 PM; showtime at 7:00 PM.
